A Message From the President…
The North Florida Hotel & Lodging Association is an issue driven, growing association, that represents more than 120 hospitality related companies spanning five counties in Northeast Florida. Representing the interests and well being of over 40,000 employees in Duval, Flagler, St. John’s, Nassau, and Clay Counties, the North Florida Hotel Lodging Association (NFHLA) is diversified through all industries that support hospitality.
NFHLA is an association that is continuously advocating issues that impact the Lodging and Hospitality Industry and your participation is vital to our success. I am pleased to share with you the association’s accomplishments in 2012 (click here to view). As you can see, our association is continuing to grow and develop beneficial programs for our members. As a NFHLA member you gain access to the best industry related resources available.
As we kick off the New Year, in February we will celebrate the 5th Annual ROSE Awards. We hope you can join us to celebrate our regions hospitality employees who demonstrate excellent customer service. Visit the ROSE Award website to register to attend.
The membership committee is analyzing the membership categories to help NFHLA better serve the Northeast Florida hotel and lodging community- be on the lookout for new developments soon. We are also working on creating the membership log in section of the website which will allow access to all member information and include an allied directory. This project will be complete by April.
The Claude Collins Hospitality Scholarship golf tournament will be held on September 16, 2013 at the Oak Marsh and Ocean Links course at Omni Amelia Island Plantation. Details and registration information will be emailed out soon. Every year this tournament continues to grow allowing NFHLA to fund more scholarship for deserving students. New scholarship requirements are in development and will be shared soon. We are working on offering more scholarships to help the needs of your employees.
Meet the Purchasers- a new event for our allied members to have one-on-one time with hotel department decision makers will be held in the Fall with the goal of growing the hotel and allied participation. This first time event received great feedback from both hotel and allied members in attendance.
